Each tablet typically contains:
Cefixime 200 mg (a 3rd generation cephalosporin antibiotic)
Ofloxacin 200 mg (a fluoroquinolone antibiotic)
This combination is prescribed for:
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Respiratory tract infections (e.g. bronchitis, pneumonia)
Typhoid fever
Gastrointestinal infections (e.g. infectious diarrhea, dysentery)
ENT infections (ear, nose, throat)
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), in some cases
Usually: One tablet twice daily (every 12 hours)
With or without food, but better absorbed when taken after meals
Course typically lasts 5 to 7 days, depending on the infection
ï Always take the full course, even if you feel better early.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have:
Kidney or liver disease
History of tendonitis or tendon rupture (related to Ofloxacin)
Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Not recommended for:
Children under 18 (unless specifically prescribed)
Pregnant or breastfeeding women (use only if clearly needed)
Common:
Nausea, vomiting
Diarrhea
Stomach cramps
Headache
Serious (Seek medical help):
Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)
Dizziness, seizures
Tendon pain or swelling
Irregular heartbeat
