Esomeprazole (Enteric-Coated) & Domperidone (Sustained Release) Capsules

This is a combination medicine commonly used to treat acid reflux, GERD, indigestion, and gastric motility disorders.

Composition

Each capsule usually contains:

• Esomeprazole (Enteric-Coated) a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production.

• Domperidone (Sustained Release) a prokinetic agent that helps move food through the stomach more efficiently and prevents nausea.

Typical strengths (may vary by brand):

• Esomeprazole 20 mg or 40 mg

• Domperidone 30 mg SR (Sustained Release)

Uses / Indications

Prescribed for:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Acid reflux

• Heartburn

• Indigestion

• Nausea and bloating due to delayed gastric emptying

• Peptic ulcer disease

• Functional dyspepsia

Dosage & Administration

• Dose: One capsule once daily, usually before breakfast

Side Effects

Esomeprazole:
