Cefixime a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic
Potassium Clavulanate (Clavulanic Acid) a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to antibiotics like cefixime
ðª Clavulanate enhances the effectiveness of cefixime by inhibiting the enzymes (beta-lactamases) that some bacteria produce to destroy antibiotics.
Prescribed to treat:
Respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Ear infections (otitis media)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Typhoid fever (in certain cases)
Typically: 1 tablet twice daily
After meals is recommended to reduce gastric irritation
Course: Usually 57 days, or as directed by a doctor
