Ondansetron Oral Solution is an antiemetic (anti-vomiting) medication used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by a variety of conditions, including gastroenteritis, chemotherapy, surgery, and other illnesses. It works by blocking serotonin (5-HT3) receptors in the brain and gut.

Can be given with or without food
If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of dosing, you may repeat the dose once (as per doctors advice)
Common (usually mild):
Headache
Constipation
Drowsiness or fatigue
Dry mouth
Rare but serious:
Irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation)
Allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)
Use with caution in patients with:
Heart conditions (risk of QT prolongation)
Liver disease
Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or magnesium)
Do not combine with other serotonergic drugs (risk of serotonin syndrome)
Avoid use without medical advice in infants under 6 months
Store at room temperature (below 25C)
Protect from light and moisture
Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children
