Sultamicillin is an oral antibiotic composed of Ampicillin and Sulbactam. It combines the penicillin antibiotic (ampicillin) with a beta-lactamase inhibitor (sulbactam) to overcome bacterial resistance.

📌 Composition

• Ampicillin equivalent to 375 mg

• Usually this means 250 mg ampicillin + 125 mg sulbactam (ratio 2:1)

Sultamicillin is used to treat bacterial infections such as:

• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• ENT infections (sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media)

• Gynecological infections

• Bone and joint infections

🕠Dosage & Administration

• Typical adult dose: 375 mg every 8 to 12 hours (usually twice or thrice daily)

• Take after food to reduce stomach upset

• Duration depends on infection severity (usually 5“14 days)
