About Drotaverine Hydrochloride & Mefenamic Acid Tablets

A combination tablet containing:

• Drotaverine Hydrochloride: An antispasmodic agent that relaxes smooth muscles by inhibiting phosphodiesterase IV, helping relieve spasms.

• Mefenamic Acid: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation.

This combination is primarily used for relieving pain caused by smooth muscle spasms and associated inflammation.

Typical Composition (per tablet):

Uses / Indications:

• Abdominal and pelvic cramps

• Dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cramps)

• Gastrointestinal spasms

• Biliary and renal colic

• Musculoskeletal pain with spasms

Dosage & Administration:

• Typical dose: 1 tablet 3 times daily after meals or as prescribed

• Swallow whole with water

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

Precautions:

• Use cautiously in patients with liver, kidney, or heart disease

• Avoid in patients with peptic ulcers, bleeding disorders, or NSAID hypersensitivity

• Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless advised

• Avoid alcohol to reduce side effects

• Inform doctor about any other medications to avoid interactions
