A combination capsule containing:
Omeprazole: A proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production by blocking the proton pumps in gastric parietal cells.
Domperidone: A prokinetic and antiemetic agent that increases gastrointestinal motility and helps prevent nausea and vomiting.
This combination is used to treat acid-related gastrointestinal disorders and improve gastric emptying.
Ingredient | Typical Strength | Function |
---|---|---|
Omeprazole | 20 mg | Reduces gastric acid secretion |
Domperidone | 10 mg | Increases gastric motility, antiemetic |
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal)
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (acid hypersecretion)
Dyspepsia (indigestion)
Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting related to gastric stasis or delayed gastric emptying
Typical dose: 1 capsule twice daily, 15-30 minutes before meals, or as prescribed
Swallow capsule whole with water
Avoid crushing or chewing the capsule
Use cautiously in patients with liver impairment
Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to either drug
Caution in patients with cardiac arrhythmias or electrolyte imbalance (due to domperidone)
Not recommended for long-term use without medical supervision
Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen
Not typically recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed

Domperidone may increase risk of QT prolongation with certain drugs (e.g., some antifungals, macrolide antibiotics)
Avoid concomitant use with other medications that prolong QT interval
